Connection of adapted devices
This high quality device includes gold-plated connectors for a reliable and lasting contact. We invite you to
use quality cables, to reach the best performance.
Connecting speakers
The
CARAT
A57
ampli er can be connected to 2 pairs of speakers. This allows you to have sound in 2
different areas or to use 2 pairs of speakers in the same room. (to compare them, for instance).
The terminals are sized to receive large cables. Do not use cables less than 1,5mm
2
. If the speakers are
more than 5 meters (200 inches) away from the amplifi er, we advise you to use larger cables (2,5 or 4 mm
2
/
13 or 11 AWG)
Connecting a turntable
This ampli er is equipped with a preamp for audiophile turntables. It is compatible with mobile magnet (MM)
and mobile spools (MC) cells.
A switch, located on the rear panel, allows to select the sensitivity. If you do not know the type of cell that
equips your turntable, select MM. If the sound is weak, your cell is an MC type.
A ground plug (GND) allows to connect the mass of the turntables arm to the mass of the ampli er.
This is necessary to avoid any «rumble» effect from the speakers.
CAUTION
:
Due to the fact that the sensitivity varies from a turntable to another and to the fact that the
recording level of vinyls is not the same as the recording level of CD’s. The outlet level will probably be
weaker than with a CD, using the same settings.
Connecting an MP3 player
Connect the MP3 player
on the front pane
l, using a 3,5 mm mini-jack plug. It is compatible with the head-
phone outlet of your MP3 player.
